necklace with apatite

Dostawa: 7 dni

320.00 PLN

Necklace with apatites and tanzanite.

The chain is made from a 14 carat gold alloy.

Apatite contains many minerals and it also exists in numerous colours. Apatite was already known in ancient Greece, where it got its name. Its name is derived from the Greek word apatos, meaning “to deceive” because of its likeness to other stones. Most often mined in Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Tanzanites symbolise elegance and innocence. It was first discovered in 1967 by Masai shepherds after a fire caused by lightening, in Tanzania. Currently almost all known reserves of tanzanite have been exhausted. Known mining places are located in India and Tanzania.

Did you know that: The stone in the heart-shaped necklace worn by Kate Winslet in the movie "Titanic" was a tanzanite. The fictional story describes the gem as a blue diamond called "Heart of the Ocean" but in reality blue diamonds do not posses such a deep saturation as depicted in the movie.

Due to the fact that each Elfjoy necklace is hand-made, as a single copy, made of natural stones, it may be slightly different from the one shown in the picture. This does not mean, however, that it will be any less charming.
