Earrings with intensely pink chalcedonys combined with blue apatites and green olivine is an extremely energetic combination.

The pendants are made of a 14 carat gold alloy.

The term chalcedony is derived from the name of the ancient Greek town Chalkedon in Asia Minor from where the ancients obtained the stone. Known mining places include Saudi Arabia, Uruguay, India and Brazil.

Apatite contains many minerals and it also exists in numerous colours. Apatite was already known in ancient Greece, where it got its name. Its name is derived from the Greek word apatos, meaning “to deceive” because of its likeness to other stones. Most often mined in Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Olivines are found near volcanoes but also on meteorites that orbit near Mars and Jupiter and on the Moon and Mars. In 2011,a NASA telescope observed sparkling green olivine crystals falling through a cloud of gas near a developing star. It was hypothesised that air currents raised freshly crystallised specks of olivine from the surface of the star into the atmosphere to make it drop down in an effect similar to rain. Known mining sites include Eifel in Germany, the Canary Islands, Myanmar, Arizona, and New Mexico in the United States.

Length of the whole earring: 4 cm

Due to the fact that each pair of Elfjoy earrings is hand-made, as a single copy, made of natural stones, it may be slightly different from the one shown in the picture. This does not mean, however, that it will be any less charming.
