Moonstone exhibits the optical phenomenon Known as Adularescence, which causes the extraordinary glow on the surface of moonstone. The light moves across the stone much like moonlight would glide across a large body of calm water during a cloudless summer night. Known mining sites include Brazil, the United States, Madagascar, Sri Lanka and India.

The luminous Sierra Blue Topaz is beautifully faceted. The word Topaz originates from Topazos, which is a small island located in the Red Sea, where the Romans originally found this beautiful stone. This gem symbolises loyalty, constancy and faithfulness. It is mined in in Australia, Afghanistan, Brazil, the CIS, the United States and South-West Africa.

Tourmaline was highly desired by royalty in the Far East through the ages. The last Empress of China, Empress Dowager Tzu His was in love with pink tourmaline. This last Empress of the Ch'ing Dynasty loved this stone so much that she bought enormous quantities of it. Rubellite is another name for the pink tourmaline, derived from the Latin word for red, rubellus. Known minis sites include Madagascar, Tanzania and California in the United States.

Due to the fact that each pair of Elfjoy earrings is hand-made, as a single copy, made of natural stones, it may be slightly different from the one shown in the picture. This does not mean, however, that it will be any less charming.
