Earrings with blue agates and pyrites.

The pendants and finishing elements are made of a 14 carat gold alloy.

Agate is a ribbony variety of chalcedony. The mining sites are Namibia, India and Uruguay.  Agate earns its name from the River Achates (now renamed as Drillo) in Sicily, where it was said to be originally found. Records show that in 400 BC, the gemstone was used by Greeks to make jewellery but it’s use dates even further back. It was popular among the Persians and Sumerians.

The name “pyrite” comes from the Greek words pyrites lithos, meaning “stone which strikes fire”. The ancient Greeks discovered, that when a hard object was struck with pyrite  sparks were produced. In times gone by, pyrite was used to spark gunpowder in firearms. Pyrites are mined, among others, in Spain, Italy, Peru and Chile.

Ze względu na unikalny charakter agatów, każda kolejna para będzie się nieznacznie różnić od poprzedniej, co nie znaczy, że będzie mniej urocza i błoga.

As a result of the unique nature of agates, each pair will differ slightly from the previous one, which does not mean that it will be any less captivating and blissful.

Due to the fact that each pair of Elfjoy earrings is hand-made, as a single copy, made of natural stones, it may be slightly different from the one shown in the picture. This does not mean, however, that it will be any less charming.
